Upcoming Presentations

Her Name is Titanic

Friday, March 23, 2018

7:00 pm

Beverly Hills Baptist Church, 777 Tunnel Rd., Asheville, NC

Sharing his lifelong love for the story and legacy of Titanic, Bill Willard presents details about the construction of this vast ship and a dramatic timeline of her tragic sinking. In the midst of physical and scientific details, the presentation is enhanced by the poignant and moving stories of the people on board -- all classes of passengers and crew.

As an educator for the past 30+ years, Bill often incorporates teaching moments appropriate for audience members of all ages. As an observer of the 1996 expedition to the ship's wreck site in the Atlantic, and as an active participant in the 1998 expedition, he will also share insider information about the recovery of artifacts from the site.

A collection of Titanic memorabilia will be on display before and after the presentation, including T-Rex, the underwater camera system Bill developed for the '98 expedition.

Doors open at 6:00 pm.

Admission is free. Please consider making a contribution to the Family to Family Food Pantry which serves families in East Asheville.  Suggested items: non-perishable food items, liquid clothes detergent, fabric softener, toothpaste or paper towels.
