TitanicCon 2023

TitanicCon has become my biggest event of the year. It’s hard to find other Titanic Enthusiasts or even people who understand your passion for this topic, but Bill and Judi Willard managed to create a space that allows us rivet counters to get together and bond over a wonderful weekend. TitanicCon has become my second family, and last year’s TitanicCon in Vegas has become the pinnacle of my lifelong fascination with Titanic when I got to stand next to the Big Piece and meet so many famous and renowned faces in the Titanic Community. All thanks to Bill Willard and his wonderful conference! – E. M.
I have been attending TitanicCon since 2017, and for me, it's a time of getting together with old friends, putting faces to names I've known online for years, and also a time for learning about a culture that hasn't existed for over a century. Every year, there is something that makes each conference special. I don't think anybody will ever forget Titanic Honor & Glory, The Addergoole 14, Betty Myers holding her Grandfather's Bible in her hands, or the gala suppers.  TitanicCon 2023 was extra special. It was attended by cast members from Cameron's Titanic, historians, authors, and descendants of Titanic passengers, and came with presentations ranging from the general to the technical, and we all made some new friends, while gathering with some of our old friends. For all that, there was no disputing that the highlight was seeing The Big Piece...a piece of the hull plating from the actual ship that has held our interest for so long. I don't how anything can top that, but if there's a way, I'm sure it'll happen in the TitanicCon 2024 gathering.  -  M. S.

TitanicCon 23 was like a warm family reunion, even with folks being met for the first time. Our common passionate interest in Titanic is our bond, and the smoothly run conference offered fascinating content and very special guests. Looking forward to TitanicCon 24! - C.K.
Standing in the room with the Big Piece was a very ethereal experience. It changes you.
It was also a thrill and a lot of fun to meet the various actors who were in Jim Cameron's 1997 Titanic film.
Everything about TitaniCon23, from the accommodations to the meeting room, to the presenters, was Top Shelf.  There is only one thing that I would change about TitanicCon 23, and that is that the guest of Honor, Paul Henri "P.H." Nargeolet could have been with us.
Then again, I like to think that he was with us in spirit.  – W. O.

I was a bit apprehensive flying alone across the country to TitanicCon23, but, have no fear. There’s no people like Titanic people! I was immediately swept up in the conference fun. The presentations were all so amazing and held your full attention. Seeing “The Big Piece” was such an emotional experience. You could really feel the “souls” of Titanic. I am so glad that I went! - D.J.
